High performance seals specialist, Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE) has received a Queen’s Award for Innovation for its Perlast G67P perfluoroelastomer material.
Perlast is a perfluoroelastomer range for sealing critical applications in the chemical industry such as valves and vessels exposed to aggressive solvents and cleaning agents. Developed over the last 8 years, Perlast G67P exhibits a combination of excellent chemical and temperature resis-tance, first-rate mechanical properties and high purity that are crucial in applications where contamination of any degree is unacceptable. Other markets which can benefit from the use of this pure material are found in the bioanalytical sector, such as gene technology, where even micro-contaminates within the process can distort evaluation and results.
