With effect from January 1, 2009, Dr. Albert Heuser (53), head of BASF’s Petrochemicals division, became the new president of the European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) for the next three years. The EPCA is the most important European association for the petrochemical industry.
Heuser joined BASF in 1987. Important functions since that time have been: Head of the Styrenics production department at BASF Ant-werpen, Chairman of the board of management of BASF Schwarzheide and President Ludwigshafen Verbund Site Management, BASF Aktiengesellschaft.
