Since last year the Germany-based seal manufacturer has been a member of the Freudenberg Group. In spite of its new affiliation and the changes that came with it, Burgmann Industries GmbH & Co. KG increased its turnover by 5.7 % in 2004 in comparison with the preceding year.
“The decisive factors behind our success are our proximity to our customers, our competence as solution providers and our comprehensive range of services“, says Professor Elmar F. Baur, Chairman of the company’s Management Board. The Burgmann Group’s consolidated turnover rose to approximately 315 million Euro. Domestic sales rose to around 110 million Euro (previous year 96.7 million Euro) and sales outside Germany increased from 201.5 in 2003 to 205 million Euro. Burgmann currently employs a workforce of 3,227 at more than 50 subsidiaries worldwide.
