The reorganized Lewa Group will continue to strengthen its leading international roll as a supplier of precise metering pumps, high-performance process diaphragm pumps, as well as complete metering systems and packages, the strengths will be based on a solid financial structure and a newly streamlined management. The focus will remain on the chemical and oil and gas industries. Activities in the pharmaceuticals sector and in complementary products (trade products) will be intensified.
Bernd M. Stütz assumed his position as the new Chairman of the Management Board of Lewa on January 1, 2006. This experienced manager is responsible for technology and sales and will direct the activities of the new Lewa pumps+systems together with the Commercial Director Karl Hett-rich. Dr. Reinhard Dechow, the former Chairman of the Management Board, will remain with Lewa as a member of the Advisory Board. These developments follow the sale of the family-owned Lewa Herbert Ott GmbH+Co. KG including the fifteen international sales companies to a group of investors led by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) in October 2005.
