In October of 2006, the KSB Group, Germany, booked an order for the supply of ten submersible borehole pumps worth some two million euros. The pumps are to be employed at the Namikata LPG Stockpiling Base on the Japanese island of Shikoku, where Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) is building.
Among others, KSB received the order, because the German manufacturer was able to meet the stringent Japanese specifications and has a lot of experience with the manufacture of liquefied gas pumps.
