Entsorga-Enteco 2006 in new trade fair halls

Ready for the future
Entsorga-Enteco 2006 in new trade fair halls

From 24th to 27th October 2006, Entsorga-Enteco will again be setting standards not only in the broad range of innovative products and trends on show, but also in terms of its new setting. “Throughout the exhibition centre, the facilities and overall environment will be significantly enhanced for the benefit of our exhibitors and visitors,” says Wolfgang Kranz, Executive Vice President of Koelnmesse. In addition to about 75 000 m² of outdoor space, the four new halls will offer a total of about 80 000 m² of gross exhibition space. Entsorga-Enteco 2006 will be held in the new Halls 6, 7 and 8.

The Northern Halls will replace the Rhineside Halls, which will no longer be available for use beginning in 2006, since Europe’s largest private TV broadcasting company, the RTL Group, will be moving into the historical halls. In combination with the former Halls 4 to 14 the Northern Halls will form a compact unit featuring clear structures for quick and easy orientation throughout the exhibition grounds. The halls will be interconnected along a north-south axis by the light-flooded Trade Fair Boulevard, which will also provide access to the new, centrally located conference and press centre. This boulevard will allow trade fair participants to find what they’re looking for as quickly as possible, and catering and other service facilities will also be situated here. These include information areas, quiet areas and everything from car hire to customs clearance services. At the southern end of the Trade Fair Boulevard will be the new Entrance South that is located right across from the Köln Messe/Deutz train station.
In 2006, Entsorga-Enteco will be organised in an even more compact manner, with exhibitors being located next to each other in accordance with their sales channels. The event’s organiser, the Federal Association of the German Waste Disposal Industry (BDE), and its conceptual sponsor, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), have welcomed the new structure, as it fully meets visitors‘ and exhibitors‘ needs.
