As part of Süd-Chemie’s integration into the Clariant Group, the Supervisory Board of Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, Germany, has restructured the company’s Managing Board, reducing the number of board positions from four to three. Dr. Günter von Au (59), Managing Board Chairman since 2004, is to remain Chairman of the Managing Board. Dr. Hans-Joachim Müller (52), member since 2007, is to take over responsibility for operations in the Functional Materials (Adsorbents) sector, in addition to managing operations in the Catalysis & Energy (Catalysts) division. He will therefore be responsible for the entire business operations at Süd-Chemie. By mutual agreement, Deputy Managing Board Chairman Dr. Hans Jürgen Wernicke (62) and Chief Financial Officer Edgar Binnemann (56) are to resign from the Managing Board. As of 1 July 2011, Mr. Binnemann’s responsibilities will be taken over by Udo de Wall (47).
