The Paravisc mixer thereby is considered to be a true all-rounder in the production of viscous products. It is perfectly suited for a wide range of viscosities from water-like up to 1,000,000 mPas and is ideal for multi-purpose plants or processes with changing viscosities. If necessary wall scrapers, off-center agitators or baffles can be included.
The strengths of the Paravisc can be seen in processes requir-ing rapid heating/cooling phases or homogeneous mixing of several products. When compared to the anchor impeller, the high circulation rates at the same or lower power input allows a reduction of the heating/cooling time up to 30 %. A more uniform temperature distribution without extreme hot spots keeps the product from burning at the vessel wall. At the same time fewer side reactions that can have a negative effect on the product quality take place due to a good homogeneous product distribution in the reactor.
