Mobile continuous granulation line
Equipment for continuous production of solid products is used, if it concerns to obtain a high product yield on very close area whereby a multiplicity of different processing units can be flexibly arranged. The combination of a continuous granulator GCG and wet sieve GSF, as laboratory, pilot or production unit represents a basic configuration. Mixing paddles on a continuous shaft in a process-specific arrangement rotate in the heart of the continuous granulator GCG, the horizontal mixing chamber. The parameters of the mixing paddles are fitted in a way that the dry prod-uct, which is continuously following over a charge port into the mixing chamber, is brought in a three-dimensional motion. The mixture property caused by the turbulence, with constantly continuous further transport in horizontal direction, doesn’t permit the development of dead or movement-poor zones in the chamber and causes a fast and thorough mixture. Spray nozzles are attached on the periphery within the mixture area, which moistens evenly the drying mixture and introduces the granulation process. The discharge of the stable and even granulates is made continuously via a discharge port at the end of the mixing chamber. Differently implemented mixer paddles allow an optimal adjustment to the product and avoid damages of the granulate particles caused by the rotation. Short product cycle times with optimally adapted parameters provide minimised energy consumption. The safe reproducibility of the product quality permits a continuous production and avoids faulty batches.
