On a centrifugal sifter, the bulk material is fed in a controlled flow into the cylindrical basket containing the sieve house. Fast rotating blades push the prod-uct against the sieve and transport the oversize particles in an axial movement towards the oversize outlet. The fine particles pass through the sieve and are forwarded to the next process step. Centrifugal sifters are characterised by high throughput and compact design. A typical throughput can vary between some 100 kg/h and 60 t/h using an 800 µm mesh. Gericke produces centrifugal sifters in different Atex categories. The sifters are used at the reception point of raw materials, e. g. after Big Bag emptying stations, sack tipping units or above filling and conditioning machines. Very low headroom is required by the Inline sifter, which can be placed somewhere in the pneumatic conveying line. Usually Nylon sieves are used. They are robust and are kept clean by vibrations.
