The IBC Ecobulk SE-EX-UL from Schütz is based on the SE-EX container that features a steel case with an electrostatic function and an inner bottle that additionally protects filling products from light, UV-rays and mechanical influences. Thanks to special fire-preventing materials, which fill the space between the steel case and the inner bottle, the IBC satisfies the requirements of the US standard for the storage of combustible or highly flammable liquids (NFPA-30), which is monitored by UL (Underwriters Laboratories). This means that in the event of fire, the container (with the assistance of a Sprinkler system), prevents damage to the inner bottle for at least 20 minutes. In an emergency, the Ecobulk gives fire fighters more time to respond than the standard SX container with its already considerable safety potential.
