Production of palletless shipping units
At the centre of Möllers’ presence at K is the proven and patented production of palletless shipping units. The in-house developed stretch-packing systems function according to the counter-hood stretch system and enclose shipping goods in two counter-hoods and a base film without any kind of load carrier. The thus-formed load units are extremely stable and self-supporting. They can be stored in the open thanks to their water-tight and UV-repellent film properties even with sensitive contents, transshipped in all weather conditions and be transported on open vehicles.
Worldwide transport by sea-, road and truck-freight posed further demands on the fields of application for palletless technology: Transport with different load carriers required a shipping unit which had to be accessible for the fork-lift truck from all four sides. Möllers continued to develop the palletless two-way unit. This palletless unit makes it possible for the fork-lift truck to receive it from all four sides.
The palletless technology from Möllers bundles greatest demands from the sphere of economy, logistics and sustainability:
- only 40 % of normal packing costs
- higher utilisation rate in 40‘ containers
- thanks to maximum transport stability and absolute water-tightness, the palletless unit can be stored anywhere
