Wiese developed a kind of casing to realise hygienic operation. The main focus was on the design of open frame structures since the link free rubber chain as drive member is food approved and grease free already. The aim was to minimise the number of dead spots and horizontal surfaces which accumulate dust, dirt and other disposals. This is solved by using tubular profiles for every detail on the structure. It was possible to find a way of design which has zero horizontal surfaces inside the framework. The complete conveyor is built in modules which will be connected with round material connectors. This ensures that all modules are interchangeable in the case of a layout change on site later on.
