TMI has just started up a fully automatic unit for de-palletising, breaking and emptying of paper valve bags, adapting own technology from gantry palletiser Robosac P4. Several modules have been modified to adapt Robosac P4 to this application: The grip for bag catching, conveying and opening incorporates a vacuum cup that takes filled bags from the pallet and brings them to buckets connected to the product aspi-ration. The aspiration bucket incorporates four pneumatically driven knives that open the bag completely at its bottom side. The empty broken bag is still hold by the vacuum grip at its top side. The grip delivers the empty and broken bag to a belt conveyor which is connected to a paper press. The de-palletising and emptying station is fully automatic.
