The Paddle Dryer NPD from Nara is an indirect dryer, which apart from the basic procedures drying, heating and cooling can also be used for crystallization, coating, sterilization and calcinations. Because of its wide range of applications it is equally suitable for the food industry, pharmaceuticals, special chemicals as well as for thick slurries. Thanks to the division into two sections it is possible to first dry a product and afterwards treat it with a different temperature in the same machine. This controlled tempering is of importance for example in the food industry. This is achieved by separating both the shaft and the hutch into two different temperature areas. Because of its similar type of construction it is pos-sible to dry a product first and afterwards cool it in the same machine. After cooling down the product can be immediately bottled in container.
