Romaco is expanding its prod-uct range in the field of sterile manufacturing processes with the FrymaKoruma Frymix II vacuum processing machine. The technology utilises a guide cone and uses a flexible rotor-rotor system. Thanks to the closed system design, the machine offers high product security in addition to fast batch times and efficient process management. The standards of cGMP and GAMP were followed strictly during its conception.
An optimal amount of shear energy is introduced into the product via the counter-rotation of the two rotors. This results in an efficient processing of sterile solutions and reduced batch times. The stepped adjustment of the conical milling gap in addition to smooth speed adjustment allows the energy introduction to be accurately defined. In this way, the product is processed with the desired droplet size and distribution. When the rotor direction is reversed, the product mass can be mixed without the inclusion of shear energy making the system ideal for shear sensitive products.
