Biotechnica 2008 has a new forum for pharmaceutical biotechnology. For the first time, the European Association of Pharma Biotechnology (EAPB) – in cooperation with the science congress European BioPerspectives – will be hosting the conference „Science to Market“. The aim of this European event is to promote partnerships between science and industry in the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology in order to drive forward the ongoing development of marketable technologies and biopharmaceutical products. The two-day conference will focus on developments relating to new biopharmaceutical drugs and diagnostic methods and on innovative technologies used in the development and manufacture of biopharmaceutical products. Subjects under discussion will include second-generation biopharmaceuticals, new vaccines, advances in gene therapy, drug formats and methods for improving the manufacture and analysis of today’s biopharmaceuticals.
