About ten years ago Christ Aqua Pharma & Biotech revolutionised the industry with Osmotron – the first pre-assembled skid-mounted unit with all process stages for the production of pharmaceutical water. At present more than 700 systems are in operation across the world. With Osmotron Pro the company offers a totally modernised line.

All system options for the production of Purified Water and Highly Purified Water are characterised by their ergonomics and energy-efficiency. The components are easily accessible which facilitates sampling and problem-free maintenance. New block valves substitute eight single valves, which improves the flow and emptying process of the components, and thus significantly lowers documentation and validation load. Highest microbiological safety is ensured by intelligent and simplified process flow with the shortest distance between water in- and outlet. An optimum separation of the utilities is ensured by the new skid-mounted solution with integrated sewage drains.

Functional design
Modern horizontal and vertical raster division, as well as stain resistant powder coating, pursuant to BN 108, give the system its functional, transparent and tidy design. All quality relevant sampling points are integrated on a central panel. Moreover, the Windows based Liprocontrol software can be applied in all visualisation systems (e. g. Siemens, Rockwell) and automatically adjusts the operations to fluctuations of the feedwater quality to make sure that the system works fully automatically also in changing conditions.
Osmotron Pro comprises several processes of softening, reverse osmosis and final demineralisation via the patented Septron-EDI module. The standardised, prefabricated stainless-steel skid ensures shorter lead times. Each system is additionally pre-qualified before the shipment and undergoes a fully functional FAT test in presence of the customer.
With the optional concentrate processing stage total recovery can be increased to 90 %. A new modern hardness measurement without the use of indicators enables fully automatic adjustment of softener cycles to the specific raw water hardness. Depending on the feedwater quality this allows savings of 15 to 30 % of salt and wastewater.
Standard equipment offers outputs of 500 l/h up to 6.000 l/h.
