The series SCV-09 aseptic control valves from Badger Meter meet the 3A sanitary standards. Thanks to the patented dia-phragm innervalve design, they show good control performances – also at small travels. Three main materials are characterising the SCV-09´s diaphragm.
On the process side (wetted part), the diaphragm is coated with PTFE. The other side of the diaphragm is of EPDM. Nomex – a special hard and especially high temperature resistent plastic component – has been integrated inside of the EPDM coating in order to ensure the necessary solidity and toughness throughout the whole temperature range. A 316L element has been inlayed into the diaphragm to permanently guarantee the shape. The self draining, isolated seal design allows the valve to be used in applications where quick assembly and disassembly for sanitation purposes are required. The valves can be used for applications up to 10 bar and up to 145 °C within a Cv-range of 3 to 11,5.
