With Tempris (Temperature Remote Interrogation System) iQ mobil allows exact temperature-measurement without wiring. Data transmission takes place via radio waves. Tempris does not need any internal energy source (battery, etc.) associated with the sensor as the electric power for the sensors is derived from the surrounding RF field. Based on these features, it embodies a really wireless and batteryless measurement system, ideally suited for process monitoring and online control. Up to 16 Tempris sensors may be operated simultaneously in one scene (one antenna), the RF frequency (2.4 GHz, ISM band) is worldwide useable without licensing. The sensors are very small, comply with FDA-regulations and yield accurate measurements. Standard measurement range is -60 to +140 °C.
