Universal controller for vacuum systems
Vacuum control at your fingertips

Vacuum control at your fingertips
The Vacvision vacuum controller is capable of automatically detecting up to three active gauge heads and has the ability to control a total of five valves as well as one forevacuum pump and one high-vacuum pump
The Vacvision vacuum controller can not only be used to control and monitor vacuum systems, it also facilitates individual parameter settings and intuitive operation. The large colour display with its animated vacuum diagrams and status icons is particularly useful.

Apart from monitoring the turbomolecular pump, conventional gauges only accept the pressure reading from a pressure sensor. The control arrangement for a high-vacuum pump system has to be designed and implemented by the plant operator. Thanks to the Vacvision universal vacuum controller, users can now configure and control a TMP pump system themselves very simply. An internal process controller monitors vacuum operation autonomously. The control functions include standardised, pre-defined process arrangements with configurable details. The signals from the forevacuum pressure sensors can be utilised to activate the turbomolecular pump and the high-vacuum transmitters.

The universal controller is capable of automatically detecting up to three active gauge heads and has the ability to control a total of five valves as well as one forevacuum pump and one high-vacuum pump. Vacvision permits the connection of venting and purge gas valves to the turbomolecular pump along with a heating and cooling system. Other external components can be driven by means of several freely assign-able, digital and analogue input and output signals. These multiple connection options enable a wide range of vacuum diagrams to be configured with the utmost flexibility.
The compact Vacvision universal vacuum controller is equipped with a large 4.3’’ touch panel TFT graphic display (480 x 272 pixels) and offers intuitive operation through a modern configuration menu (wizard). The simple hardware interfacing with a plug-and-play function for fully automatic detection of peripheral instrumentation makes this device a true alternative to standard types of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
The Vacvision takes the place of a PLC plus control and power contactors, and eliminates the need to invest in separate visualisation and user software, thereby benefiting the customer with a cost-effective, all-round solution. It can be installed in a 19-inch rack or used as a benchtop unit. A colour-coded wiring kit prevents cable connection errors. The plug-and-play design and the manifold communication connections like the USB port (front panel) for software updates and process data transfer or the Ethernet interface simplify the Vacvision’s incorporation into existing network environments.
The Vacvision integrates all vacuum components in freely definable processes. It permits time or pressure controlled operation of the turbomolecular pump, while the built-in data logger logs all operating parameters and saves them in an internal file. This file can subsequently be transferred to a PC via the USB or Ethernet port for further processing. Special software will in future visualise the process data on a PC, either in a general vacuum diagram or through individual process curves.
Multiple applications
Vacvision is designed for analytics in addition to process and quality control in technical colleges, universities or laboratories. It can also control customised, industrial vacuum systems. Owing to its flexible configurability, it is ideally suited for lab experiments where high-vacuum conditions are a must. Using the colour TFT touch panel, each driven system component, in other words the valves, measuring instruments and forevacuum or high-vacuum pumps, can be controlled and monitored as they are configured as well as subsequently during process operation. The entire process thus becomes transparent and reconstructable.
The Vacvision is equally suited for qualifying vacuum equipment, especially turbomolecular pumps (TMPs) that will later be used in large numbers in a variety of systems. Custom software solutions for the process industry or in connection with analytical applications can also be provided on request.
