The online-measuring system Micro-Moist LB 456 from Be-rthold is able to measure moisture in a non-contacting way. Both the measurement on conveyor belts and on pipelines can be realized with this system. Thereby, microwaves of different frequencies penetrate the whole material width, are detected on the opposite side of the conveyor and finally converted to a moisture value. The Micro-Moist is applied on various bulk materials. Besides fine particles, the system is particularly suitable for coarse-grained materials. The non-contacting measuring method is especially suited for the bulk industry, as there is no influence from dust and temperature on the measuring performance. Furthermore, the Micro-Moist offers the possibility to compensate varying loading heights and bulk density.
