Flowcon is a flow rate sensor designed by Lutz-Jesco especially for the monitoring of oscillating volume flows. In combination with the evaluation electronics that are designed to work with Flowcon, users have at hand a system for the effective and precise monitoring of the dosages in pipes. Flowcon is available in different materials and can therefore be used with a wide variety of chemicals and pumps. Due to its compact design, it can be installed directly on the pressure valve of a pump.
Its functioning is based on the evaluation of the pulsatively discharged metered volume. During the discharge stroke, a float is lifted by the flowing liquid, in turn triggering a reed contact. This reed contact passes the pulse deviations onward within the pipe in the form of an electrical impulse. The metering range of 0.05 to 12 l/h for solenoid-driven metering pumps and 0.5 to 50 l/h for motor-driven metering pumps is set by means of a bypass valve.
