Michell Instruments has provided the Optipeak TDL600 moisture analyser. It uses advanced tuneable diode laser absorption spectroscopy to provide a fast response to changes in moisture concentration. Because the sensor uses laser light to measure moisture content, there is no contact between it and the gas – meaning that there is no long-term degradation of performance or stability of the analyser from corrosive elements of the gas. This non-contact technology requires minimal maintenance, even in demanding applications such as changing methane concentrations or sour gas.
