Danfoss designed the medium voltage Vacon 3000 drive for voltages between 3300 to 4160 V. The concept is based on modular components enabling complete customisation of the enclosure design complemented by the simple, well-known communication interface from the Vacon 100. The AC drive solution for powers up to 6 MW with the prospect of increasing, is characterised by the same modularity as in other Vacon high power drives. Hereby modules can be connected in parallel, providing the user and system integrator even more flexibility.
This is not a standard solution in a conventional cabinet. Due to the modular build the Vacon 3000 can be designed into many applications with limited space. The water-cooled modules make it ideal for adverse ambient conditions. In addition the integrated water cooling makes it very compact for its class and the robust design of components increases reliability and durability.
