Müller Industrie-Elektronik has developed the compact differential pressure transmitter MKDS for applications under extreme conditions. The MKDS with a measuring range of ± 75 mbar to ± 420 bar allows a turn down up to 100:1. Different values such as flow rate (volumetric and mass flow) and level (level, volume, mass) can be derived from it. The robust sensor housing and the measuring diaphragm made of stainless steel effectuates high vibration resistance and protects against rough environments with protection degree IP 65. Wherever high accuracy at lowest pressures and a highly overload-protected device is necessary, the MKDS can be used for manifold requirements. The compact type of construction and small dimension of the MKDS enables the application even where not enough space in the production process is available or the measuring area is difficult to access. With an 4…20 mA current loop output (12 … 45 V(DC)) with Hart-protocol, initial operation, parameterisation, signal analysis, data saving and reporting can be done at an external and safe place. Connection facilities for Hart-communication exist via Interface, PC-USB-interface or with an optional handheld as Hart-communicator.
