Badger Meter launches Seva (smart electric valve actuator), which has been designed as cost-sensitive solution for extreme conditions. The actuator is immediately available as 100 and 200 lbf models that have the ability to replace the former EVA-1, EVA-100 and EVA-200 models. The actual actuator offers a Dual Port Industrial Ethernet card and comes with an ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendors Association) certificate. It allows for both linear and ring network topology. The position accuracy is ±0.1 % of full scale. In the cases of a loss of power or a loss of signal power the actuator features the option to select one of five and four positions respectively. Its universal AC input with voltage protection will work with 115 and 240 V(AC) as well as with 24 V(DC). The analogue input signals may be 4…20 mA, 0…5 or 0…10 V.
