The variable area flowmeter VA Master from ABB is available with a housing fully made of stainless steel. As a result, the flowmeter is suitable for use in even the harshest environments. The stainless steel housing offers a maximum amount of protection when the device is used outdoors and exposed to salt spray or other external influences, for example on an oil rig or in a chemical plant. The housing made of 1.4408 (SST316) is available with IP 65/67 protection and can be combined with all well-proven sensor and display variants. Additionally, VA Master can be equipped with an optional digital display for especially convenient configuration and parameterisation. The device meets the highest operational requirements in compliance with Atex/IECEx (up to zone 0 in the pipe), FM or CSA and NACE and is suitable for operating pressures up to 400 bar and fluid temperatures up to 400 °C. The vibration-damped standard display with analog scale provides precise measured value reading.
