German-based manufacturer Labom has presented his intrinsically safe pressure transmitters Pascal Ci4 for absolute pressure and Pascal Ci4 Delta P for differential pressure at the Hannover Messe. The devices come with certificates of their explosion protection issued in compliance with both the Atex standard, obligatory in Europe, and the IECEx standard used in North America as well as internationally. Pascal Ci4 measures pressure in nominal ranges from 250 mbar to 400 bar with an accuracy of 0.1 % at a measuring rate of up to 100 Hz. It is available in different versions for various fields of application, including a hygienic design for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The SIL2-compliant design of the transmitters and their software also supports the suitability of Pascal Ci4 devices for use in safety-critical environments.
The devices can be integrated into DTM/FDT-based systems, such as Pactware or Fieldcare. Flexible integration into control systems based on the Hart 7 protocol, as well as control via systems such as Simatic PDM or 375/475 Field Communicator, is also possible.
