The universal Pactware operating software is available in version 3.5, making manufacturer-independent device operation easier. Clearly structured and intuitive user interfaces allow quick and easy configuration and parameterisation of field devices of any kind. Enhanced functionalities include, among others, a more flexible layout of the operating win-dows, revised project documentation, and add-ins such as the Upload/ Download Manager which enables concurrent transfer of all plant settings to the devices. In addition to the well established project view, Pactware 3.5 also provides a plant view. In this alternative display devices can be grouped based on their installation position in the plant, which is also possible if different bus strands or communication pro-tocols are involved. Concurrent use of several DTMs has also been made more efficient. The latest Pactware version has been developed compliant to FDT Specification 1.2.1.
