The integrated systems of the Festo DFPI series are ideal for wastewater treatment plants or the chemical industry. The actuators in the DFPI series enable precise regulation of gate valves, but with the necessary system components concentrated in a single location. With the DFPI, the displacement encoder, valve block and position controller are located in the same housing, therefore offering numerous advantages compared with modular systems including compact dimensions, good explosion protection characteristics and high corrosion resistance. The all-in-one solu-tion can be controlled via PLC and is therefore easy to integrate into existing control architectures. For northerly climates, the actuator can be fitted with a heating element to ensure effective flow control even at low outside temperatures.
