The 125ST sampling system from Famat is used to take samples of powder as well as pasty media from reactors, dryers, filters, nutsches and pipes under vacuum or pres-sure. Its functional principle is based on a self-sealing piston which expands when closed. Since neither O-rings nor a packing are used for sealing, absolute tightness with zero dead space is guaranteed. It is now possible, due to quick-coupling connections, to dismantle easily the valve in order to clean completely all the parts. The system can be flexibly adapted to any vessel or pipe. A choice of materials and seals is available, depending of the product.
