The Gemü 550, 554 and 507 angle seat globe valves are now also available with clamp connections. Type 550 valve with pneumatic stainless steel actuator, type 554 valve with pneumatic plastic actuator and type 507 manual valve are equipped with clamp connections in nominal sizes DN 15 to 80. Valve bodies made from cast stainless steel are available in 1.4408 and 1.4435 alloys. Clamp connections are mainly used in pharmaceutical, biotechnological, foodstuff and beverage industries with high sterility and hygienic requirements. They are the second most popular connection type after butt weld spigot in these industries. The great advantage of clamp connections is their ease of installation and removal.
