Thanks to the modular system, Ecolab metering stations offer many options for meeting individual metering requirements. Variable process operations are supported by the combination of versatile pump controls and capacities and the installation type, process-specific connection technology, output measurement, output monitoring and output correction.

Automatic flow rate monitoring is often essential in today’s critical processes. The preset output can be compared with the actual output thanks to the Ecolab oval gear meter, OGM Plus. Should the preset limiting values be exceeded or fallen short of, an output signal can be processed externally (e. g. an acoustic alarm). This enables immediate detection of blocked or burst metering lines. Depending on the setting, metering can be stopped or continued in this case. It is beyond the capability of many metering pumps to respond to modified ambient conditions, such as strongly fluctuating system pressure. Regulation is often either very complicated or not technically feasible. In such cases, the Elados EMP diaphragm metering pump, in combination with the OGM Plus oval gear meter, maintains the desired metering volume precisely by logging the actual output quantity with the integrated control algorithm, e. g. in case of fluctuating back-pressure. Leakage monitoring and a multi-function valve, which combines pressure relief, pressure control, manual degassing and drainage valve functions in a single unit, ensure higher process reliability. Other accessories such as suction lances with reserve and empty signals, metering valves and installation material in different designs round off the metering station. The Ecolab metering station is available with pump outputs from 0.1 to 750 l/h. It is designed either as a console for wall mounting or as a stand-alone system and also as a mobile metering station. Customised pre-assembly on a stainless steel or plastic console or a batch tank permits optimal adaptation to the process parameters. Various options are possible such as metering monitoring and regulation, a custom terminal box and leakage monitoring. The station and its special add-on components ensure reliable metering. In addition to the economic benefits of such systems, the universal metering pump is suitable for a wide range of processes. The integrated functions greatly facilitate project planning, initial operation and servicing of the plant. The metering station prevents incorrect operation thanks to its easy handling.
