The universal mill PXL 18 M from Pallmann can be found in laboratories, research and development departments as well as in production units. The mill covers the full range of size reduction from coarse to superfine grinding down to 20 µm and product hardness up to 3 according to the Mohs scale. The achievable throughput capacities range from 1 to 200 kg/h depending on the type of product being used and the desired end fineness.
The PXL 18 M mill can, equipped with different grinding components, be used for the most versatile processes such as desagglomeration, defiberization, homogenization, coarse-, fine- and superfine pulverizing. New grinding elements are available now for cutting tough-elastic material such as film, fibers, stems up to approx. 2 mm and a disc mill insert for grinding of thermoplastics. The housing concept guarantees easy cleaning of the machine interior and easy exchange of the grinding elements. The bearing is flanged to the rear of the housing. The PXL mill is available in different designs, i.e. in stainless steel, shock-pressure resistant up to 10 bar, for cryogenic grinding, speed infinitely variable.
