The proved and TÜV certified failsafe-transmitter and transmitter-power-supply with limit alarms in DuoTec-technology increases safety and availability while lowering costs. The devices corresponds to IEC61508 SIL 2 and DIN19250 Class 4 (AK4). Basis for the certification by the German TÜV are two microprocessors, which are permanently monitoring the complete function area besides the measurement processing. This includes the measuring circuit, the output circuit, the auxiliary energy, the relay contacts and the hardware and software. If a single diagnosis is not conclusive, the system reports and triggers a failure alarm during which the opening contact is still in use. A current fault appears as a constant red Error LED in the front of the device where a temporary fault appears as a flashing LED. Additionally the software Win-smart reports the kind of the fault in an integrated diagnosis manager. This guarantees, that even short time faults, e.g. loose contacts can be identified. The devices can be configured and parameterized by the frontal RS232 interface or over the RS485 bus. The software Winsmart has an intuitive operation and is therefore easy to handle. All input data types as well as the output data, the four limit alarms, tolerance ranges, measuring precision, filter times etc. can be adjusted by a simple mouse click.
