Static and dynamic

Vacuum drying of high-purity and sterile bulk material
Static and dynamic

The worldwide-patented VSD vacuum drying oven has been used for almost 10 years for static drying of all kinds of products and consistencies. It is now complemented by the RTSD for dynamic rotary drying.

The patent-pending RTSD is a vacuum drying system with a rotary dryer drum in dual-cone or tumbling design that has no removable vapour pipe. Vapour pipes are problematic due to the seal between the product area and the atmosphere, uncontrollable cavities with the risk of cross contaminations and the range of required fixtures.

The RTSD and VSD systems from Dreisbach are designed for installation in clean or sterile rooms as well as for wall mounting to separate grey rooms from clean rooms or explosion-proof areas from hazardous areas. Both systems comply with the highest hygienic requirements (FDA, EHEDG) and are unrestrictedly GMP-approved.
Both RTSD and VSD are ideal for use in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries and also in biotechnology, where clean and contamination-free conditions are essential.
The product area of both systems is devoid of all joints and interfering fixtures and re-sembles a monolithic system. The systems facilitate treatment under aseptic conditions and allow perfect cleaning either by hand or automatically with a CIP device.
The CIP device, developed by Pink for VSD drying ovens, allows GMP-approved working on a very high level. The vacuum drying oven features an absolutely joint-free product area. The heated shelves and chamber walls divide the interior into individual product compartments.
The CIP lance, with one spray head per product compartment, is connected to the drying oven with a quick coupling for cleaning. It can be either electrically or pneumatically driven. During the cleaning process, the nozzle fitting turns around the stationary vertical axis of the lance and sprays every point on the VSD interior in a controlled way.
In the CIP process for the RTSD, the rotating drum is filled ¾ full with cleaning solvents. Controlled spraying is not necessary with this technology, which is just as effective as the VSD method.
