The u2 twin ferrule fittings by Schwer are characterised by standardised tolerances and surface finish. These features guarantee leak-proof pipe connections in high pressure as well as in vacuum applications. The designs allows for absorption of vibra-tions and pressure pulses. The twin ferrule fittings, standardly from stainless steel 316, are supplied assembled and ready to use. Safe operation at high pressure or vacuum is achieved through four effective design details. These are the back ferrule that affords damping of tube circuit actions, through a spring-like action, the front ferrule that seals the surface between tube and coupling, silvering of the coupling nut thread preventing seizing of the stainless steel coupling, and a deep pipe bore and entry taper for accurate positioning and centring of the tube. On request, parts can also be supplied from hastelloy, titanium and other highly alloyed materials.
