With its 17 mm width, 30.3 mm height and 52.6 mm length the Rietschle pump series 4002 achieves a flow of 2.0 l/min. The valves of the oval dia-phragm pump are not mounted as usual above, but in front of the pump body. The pump chamber is used to full capacity: The oval cut rolling diaphragm of the 4002 series performs the pumping task using a gentle pendulum motion without the usual elongation at yield. The 4002 series is offered in two versions: The vacuum pump reaches -600 mbar rela-tive pressure during intermittent duty and -200 mbar re-lative during continuous duty. The pressure version reaches 800 mbar operating under intermittent and 200 mbar during continuous pressure. The oval diaphragm pump is mainly used in handheld devices.
