The Hima SILence SIL calculation software ist TÜV-confirmed IEC 61508-compliant. SILence makes it easy to calculate the probability of failures and SIL values for complete safety loops, with sensors, PES and actuators. PFD, PFH, SFF and MTTF values are based and calculated on the mathematical principles of IEC 61508. The great advantage is that the loop, which is configured by drag & drop, is calculated automatically. The documentation of the calculations helps to simplify the approval process. Open databases containing Hima system data as well as safety data for sensors and actuators are built into the software.
