Pump media with a high proportion of gas

Single-stage, self-priming GHP series pumps combine the proven Grundfos technology of normal priming pumps of the F&B Hygia series with the technology of the water ring principle: The self-priming effect is achieved with an inducer mounted upstream of the impeller in conjunction with a recirculating pipe from the discharge nozzle to the intake. The result is a pump with high efficiency, low noise and a long life.

GHP pumps also deliver media with a high proportion of gas or air (e. g. in the return of a CIP cycle). In addition, the pumps are suitable for the gentle pumping of sensitive media under unfavourable flow conditions for emptying tanks or pipelines, and for conveying media containing solids. The impellers of the GHP series can be set to a precise duty point.
The pumps are available with various shaft seal alignments and seal materials. A single-action, internal mechanical seal in the hard material combination of carbon/stainless steel/EPDM is standard. Also available are single-acting, flushed shaft seals (quench), the shaft material pairing of SiC/SiC and Viton elastomers. The wetted parts are electro-polished. In addition to the wetted components, the lanterns are also made from high quality stainless steel. GHP series pumps are designed according to the requirements of hygienic design and are CIP and SIP compatible. The wetted components meet the requirements of Qualified Hygienic Design (QHD). All the materials used are also FDA compliant.
