The growing demand for a compact actuator that is capable of reliable operation of ball valves even in an aggressive environment prompted EM-Technik to develop its own compact double-wing part-turn valve actuator: The construction principle is simple and effective, the torque is directly generated by the turning movement of the wing and transferred to the ball valve. This makes the switching time distinctly faster than that in the case of double-piston actuators. Its extremely compact construction size is of particular interest. The part-turn valve actuator can be pneumatically controlled with very little consumption using all neutral, gaseous media. The standard actuators are spring-resetting. The double-wing part-turn valve actuator is provided with two-, three- and four-way ball valves Series 6L in the nominal width DN 4. The ball valves are available in the materials PP, PVDF, or PFA. This fitting is also well prepared for the use in aggressive environments thanks to the extremely media-resistant PVDF-shell of the actuator.
