The Taifun of Wernert-Pumpen is a seal-less pump with an integrated synchronous driver. It is the ideal solution for all plant operators in the chemical industry: To have a compact, centrifugal pump conforming to the highest safety standards, totally resistant against corrosion and driven by an intelligent frequency converter.
The outer rotor of a magnetic-coupled pump was replaced by a special arrangement of coils, leading to a pump with an integrated synchronous driver, excited by an inner permanent magnetic rotor. The driver allows the provision of large radial gaps for cooling purposes – ideal for non-metallic materials like silicon carbide and PTFE/PFA.
