The Namur sensors have a SIL2 certification and an Atex approval for use in the Ex area. The inductive proximity switches with a terminal chamber offer a vibra-tion-proof connection using removable screw or cage clamp terminals, thus considerably simp-lifying exchange during servicing. The wash-down version WDTC Namur sensors also offer maximum freedom and switching distances. LEDs in the terminal chamber indicate the switching state of the sensors to the user at the device. The monitoring function for cable break and short-circuit detection also helps to increase plant availability. The V4A steel sensor housing can withstand even the harshest media. With protection to IP 68 and IP 69K, as well as a temperature range from -40 to +100 °C, the sensors are suitable for use in extremely harsh environments. The entire sensor with terminal chamber is even FDA-compliant.
