Phoenix Contact adds two additional modules to its range of safety-relevant applications: the PI-EX-NAM/RNO-NE and PI-EX-NAMTO-P isolating amplifiers with SIL 2 compliance since 2005. Both modules are part of the user-friendly and pluggable Process Interface electronic modules for use in potentially dangerous areas and provide EX i explosion protection. Their particular advantage is that they save both space and time. Combination with base terminals allows direct installation at the switching level of the control cabinet as well as prewiring of the modules which are only 12.4 mm thick. The application-dependent electronics can then be plugged in afterwards.
