The S-MAX 4006 CE controller of Phoenix Contact serves as a highly available combination of industrial PC, PLC, and Interbus fieldbus master. The device behaves like a conventional PLC and has the same design and performance features as the S-MAX 5006 controller. PLC functionality is programmed with PC Worx automation software, while visualization can be configured with the help of ProVisIT software tools. In combination with industrial PC functions, communication is possible over all standard interfaces, as well as via the integrated Interbus fieldbus system.
