In many plants, the compressor is the centerpiece of production. In the event of failure, not only the compressor but the whole production line shuts down, with corresponding knock-on costs. Hoerbiger now offers the Recipcom monitoring system for optimal monitoring and preventive maintenance of reciprocating compressors. Recipcom opens up further options in machine protection, monitoring and optimi-sation, based on measured values optimised specifically for reciprocating compressors.
The modular software has been specially developed for reciprocating compressors. It is certified to IEC 61 508/61 511 and is designed according to API 670.
The software monitors high-frequency information for each individual cylinder to a crank angle resolution of 1 degree. Data such as indicator pressure, vibration and position of the piston rod during each revolution are compared in real time to previously defined reference values. Up to 16 alarm thresholds can be defined for different operating conditions.
