Modern, distinctive, clearly structured
Günter Eckhardt, Editor in Chief
Reading habits are constantly changing. Information is assimilated differently today than it was only a few years ago. Adapting to these shifting expectations is our mission and our motivation. We have accepted the challenge: cpp magazine has just been given a complete facelift and you can admire the results in this latest issue. In addition to a new cover page and logo, cpp chemical plants & processes now also includes an extensive cover feature that casts a spotlight on an important topic in the cpp world. The „Cover Feature“ selected for the current issue is „Driving forces – conveyor and drive technology in operation“. The second highlight in the new issue of cpp is a „Special Subject“ section focusing on the Hanover Fair, which will open its doors again from April 4 to 8, 2011. This year’s event will take the stage under the banner of „Smart Efficiency“. The responsible use of material and energy resources is a central theme along with optimised production processes and cost-efficient management. Of particular interest to the process industry will be the Industrial Automation, Motion and Drive & Automation flagship trade fairs as well as ComVac for compressed air and vacuum technology. Our Special Subject section on the Hanover Fair starts on page 8.

As usual, the magazine also contains application and practice-oriented technical articles, reports, interviews and product data plus current business and corporate news from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. We describe interesting, real examples and solutions covering all aspects of technical management in these sectors of the economy. I hope you will enjoy reading the „new cpp“ and look forward to receiving your comments, criticisms and suggestions, which can be submitted to cav.redaktion@konradin.de.
