A mobile filling station is the answer when it comes to cutting high costs which are usually needed for engineering and installation of a complex hosing and piping system for pumping liquid or pasty product from various tanks to a stationary filling machine. This machine is available with rollers or can be transported by fork lift truck to respective tank. Filling of cans, pails, drums and IBC will then take place directly at the tank. And even in hazardous area (Zone 1), this principle works. All mobile Plug & Fill machines of Type 14, 19, and 17 from Feige are designed in conformity with Atex regulation. The control cabinet is purged, electric protection EExp. All the accessories and peripheral equipment such as earthing devices, purging units, bunging tools, overflow sensors or roller conveyors fulfil Atex demands. Type 14 is designed for pails and cans of up to 60 kg; Type 19 for drums of up to 300 kg. These stations are also available with rollers for movement. The mobile or stationary filling station Type 17 is used for the filling of drums or cans on pallets. The filling unit is positioned to the bungholes via co-ordinates. Plug & Fill machines can be even fitted with a mass flow meter based on Coriolis principle. Apart from the filling valve, the measuring tube with the Feige terminal is the centrepiece of the filling machine, compared to other machines where the scale platform is one of the main components.
