The GIP magnetic coupling pump, designed as a compact close coupled model by Friatec Rheinhütte, is suitable for temperatures up to 120 °C. The design of the GIP magnetic coupling pump meets the safety and economic requirements of both user and plant constructor. The close-coupled design requires little space and makes installation easier. The connection dimensions of the pump can be to the DIN or ANSI standard by choice. All components in contact with the medium are proofed against vacuum and diffusion by being lined with Tefzel, a high-grade fluoropolymer from DuPont comparable to PFA (perfluoralkoxy).
Wear rings made of SiC (Silicon Carbon) on both sides of the impeller provide a high level of security against the ingress of solids. The fully opened impeller eye improves the NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) and increases the efficiency. A high resistance to pressure and temperature is guaranteed by the double spacer can made of carbon-fibre reinforced Tefzel with a Kevlar sheathing. Both the radial bearing elements and the compact units, comprising impeller and internal magnetic rotor, are easily replaceable.
